Chapter 2: The Boy Who Lived in a Different World
Far away from Sun Island, in a busy city full of lights, lived a boy named Denver Joe.
His world was very different.
Tall buildings touched the sky. Cars moved fast on wide roads. People were always busy, always in a hurry.
Denver Joe lived in a huge house.
It had tall gates, shining floors, and more rooms than he could count. His father was a very rich businessman. People came and went all day, talking about money, deals, and big plans.
But Denver Joe did not care much about those things.
He often felt alone.
He had everything—but something was missing.
One evening, as the sun was setting, Denver Joe sat by his window. He looked out at the city lights turning on, one by one.
His phone lay beside him.
Suddenly…
It buzzed.
He picked it up.
There was a message.
But it was strange.
There was no name.
No number.
Just a few words:
“Sun Island needs you.”
Denver Joe frowned.
“Sun Island?” he whispered.
He had never heard of it before.
He looked again.
Another message appeared.
“The story has begun.”
A soft chill ran down his back.
“How is this possible?” he said.
He tried to reply.
But the message would not send.
The screen flickered for a moment… and then went blank.
Denver Joe stood up.
Something did not feel right.
He walked to his computer and searched for “Sun Island.”
Nothing.
No results.
No maps.
No news.
It was as if the island did not exist.
That night, he could not sleep.
The words stayed in his mind.
Sun Island needs you.
He closed his eyes.
And just before he drifted into sleep…
He heard something.
A voice.
Soft.
Distant.
“Come…”
Denver Joe opened his eyes quickly.
The room was silent.
But his heart was racing.
The next morning, he made a decision.
He would find Sun Island.
No matter what it took.
Meanwhile…
On a quiet shore far away, Old Maro sat looking at the sea.
The children waited.
“Did he go?” one child asked.
Old Maro smiled slowly.
“Yes,” he said.
“He chose to go.”
The waves moved gently.
“And that,” Old Maro said, “is when the real journey began.”
